About Hever Castle Weddings

This venue, located in the the heart of Kent in Hever, is a luxury and romantic wedding venue with a rich history and great attention to detail. If you are looking for a place that tells rich history, exclusively yours for the day (part of castle only from 6 pm) and has a real wow factor, Hever Castle could be the one for you.

Ceremonies in the Italian Garden

Red carpet and views to the gardens with the lake behind you – could you as for more? Filled with natural light, a very spacious and elegant space for up to180 guests is a perfect setting for your ceremony. Exclusively yours for the length of time you hired. The Loggia is available for a ceremony at 4.30pm between April and October excluding the school summer holidays. This timing allows the venue to close down this part of the gardens from the visitors an hour before the ceremony starts.

Whether you are organising a small or larger wedding, Italian Garden will be an amazing choice!

Mingling in the Loggia Terrace

While the team is arranging your tables for the wedding breakfast or setting up for the evening party you’ll be directed to a large space surrounded by River Eden.

Wedding breakfast at the Guthrie Pavilion

The Guthrie Pavilion is a large room and has plenty of natural light which creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere for your wedding breakfast. The Guthrie Pavilion is available from 18:30 for the wedding breakfast following Hever Castle’s day schedule. This space for dining allows for up to 180 seated guests.

Family and couple portraits on the grounds

Whether it’s rainy or sunny, you will find Hever Castle to be a perfect backdrop for your family and couple portraits. The endless opportunities, unique space and unobstructed views will create some amazing results for your photo album. They close the area off from visitors after 6 pm and you will be able to go around having the whole grounds for yourself.

The party! Dance floor and first dance.

After your wedding breakfast, you’ll be invited to cut your wedding cake and begin the first dance in the same room. It’s the perfect place for all the dance-floor fun with access to the side terrace for the gusts that want to chill outside.

Night portraits

Embrace the darkness and explore the gardens at night with your photographer. For me it’s a”must have” on my photo list to finish the night with stunning portraits. After setting my lights up it only takes minutes to capture some amazing portraits at night.
